This place is really lovely and quiet. The views are amazing! Despite the loss of their restaurant they did provide some fruit, blueberry bread, boiled eggs and some other items for breakfast. It's a long drive in either direction for food so be prepared with snacks as the only way to cook is with a small microwave oven. The staff were very nice and provided us with additional coffee when asked. I can't wait to get back to Lucia Lodge, it is a special place.

An amazing stay. Clean room, comfy bed, clean bathroom. Thin walls. Good breakfast.
This property has a spectacular ocean view. The room is small, good for max 2 people. Breakfast is basic, orange juice, eggs & bread. Parking is perfect right in front of the rooms. There's no staff on site, just the housekeeper. It's just 30 mins away from Nepenthe Restaurant.
Room was clean, nice with more amenities than I thought, it was quiet and the checkin instructions arrived on time and were clear. The grounds are beautiful. It was wonderful to come after a long day of hiking and have an actually comfy clean bed. I was able to read and have some wine we had bought earlier to unwind and enjoy the evening. Wonderful place to stay
Great stay! Clean room, BEAUTIFUL view, very pleasant staff. The continental breakfast could have been better, but due to a recent fire, it was understandable.
Beautiful view. Nice to stay in quaint older lodge. No contact checkin and checkout. The ocean view rooms were sold out, but they looked really nice with chairs outside to soak in the view. So I would try to book earlier and get one of those next time. Easy parking, Tasty blueberry bread, eggs and juice and coffee available for breakfast. A great stop between Pinnacles NP and Channel Islands if you are touring National Parks.
We loved our stay at this gorgeous lodge. Checking in and out was easy, The room was clean, and the cleaning staff were on top of any of our needs. The bed was comfortable with nice sheets/comforter. We appreciated the breakfast, ice, WIFI, bottled water, coffee/tea, and a very aggressive hot shower head. We did avail ourselves of any of the toiletries, but it was a nice addition.
This is the most beautiful location I've ever seen. The view out our front door was breathtaking. Two Adirondack chairs in front of the unit made it the perfect spot to read a book or have a glass of wine. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The only issue is the lack of food options near the property. There are no restaurants or convenient stores to get drinks or snacks within 20 minutes...and be prepared to pay hefty prices for everything! Also no fridge. However, the Lodge makes that clear in its description of the amenities. And the location and view make it worth the inconvenience. We just bought a large water jug and non-perishable snacks in Carmel before the drive up the coast. We would definitely stay there again!
A worthwhile lodge for your Big Sur visit. The bathroom looked freshly renovated with nice tile and marble, and was very clean, the bedroom felt older but clean and the bed comfortable. The views were lovely. We appreciated the table and chairs in the room for eating the food we brought with us. The breakfast offered was hard boiled eggs, mandarin oranges, juice, and a sweet loaf (that looked good but we didn’t eat). Parking was easy although the short driveway off Route 1 was rather steep and unpaved. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but they weren’t there at check-in; they come by in the morning to bring breakfast and prepare the rooms. It’s not a destination resort, but if your destination is Big Sur, Lucia Lodge is a decent place to stay and we would return. (A cabin we had booked in Big Sur last year was so dirty we left immediately, returning home rather than staying in the area. In comparison, Lucia Lodge though less expensive was much nicer with better views.)
I loved staying at this property. It was very peaceful and comfortable.

No staff..no cell service to contact anyone. Had to drive an hr north to get ahold of anyone to get directions on how to get in. The Expedia website did not properly display the property or lack of amenties. Not a good experience. The positive is the room was clean when we finally got in.
