"The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We cannot say enough good about how wonderful they were. Coming from the U.S., we may have made some assumptions and had unrealistic expectations of a hotel in London. The room was smaller than we are used to. We expected a room with 2 twin beds and a full size bed to have space between each bed; the twin beds were pushed together with only a small space between the full bed and twin. Although there was a cubbie/shelf area with a hanger bar, there was no closet or dresser to unpack into. We assumed that there would be wash cloths in addition to the towels provided. The towels were only changed once in our 6 night stay. Although we did not bring this to the attention of the staff, our daughter slept on top of the covers and used an airplane sleep pillow as the sheets on her bed had a stain on them or were dirty. The website indicated that the hotel has a/c. Upon check-in we were told that there is normally a daily fee for a/c; however, this fee was waived because they were having a heatwave during our stay. The hotel was conveniently located about a 10 minute to the tube station which was necessary as the location was far from London tourist areas."

"Everything was great until check out when I was presented with a daily “service charge” on my bill, a different amount every day ranging from 7-20 pounds. I asked the man at reception what was the reason for this, he said it was an optional service charge like the ones added on for a tip at a restaurant. That is so deceitful and I have never encountered it at a hotel. Why would the charge be different for each day? The employee seemed to feign surprise and confusion that the charge was added multiple times, trying to tell me it was only 2 extra charges when we were staring at the screen with 6 charges. He said he would take them off and did not protest so that’s fine but the fact that they try to add this mysterious charge really clouds my view of this otherwise amazing hotel. It was clean, comfortable, beautiful, had great amenities and a great location. But pay attention to the service charges. We always leave tips in the room, if you want to charge an extra fee add it to the room price and people can decided at booking if they want to pay the price you want to get. "

"Great service. Each room is based on a different designer. Very cool. So spacious. Rooftop is dope, depending on the day and time consider reservations. Each Sunday roast dinner option is delicious! I will be returning. "

"We stayed at the Town Hall while attending SXSW London in June ‘25. The event was based about a mile away between Shoreditch and Hoxton and we could hop on a bus to it and arrive in 10 minutes. Nearby is the sensational Victoria Park and the Sunday Flower Market. Breakfast at the hotel was heaven. Our suite had a full kitchen and the pool and gym are fantastic."
