Marshall Meadows Manor House

Marshall Meadows Manor House

10/10 Excellent
"Staff very welcoming, professional snd informative. Dinner in the restaurant was superb. It was our first experience of sleeping in a ‘pod’ which, although small, was very well designed. The towels were beautifully soft. The complementary drinks in the fridge, and the wine, coffees, teas and biscuits etc laid out for us, was a generous touch and much appreciated."

"Perfect location for anyone wanting to explore Northumberland. Bamburgh castle is literally 5 mins drive away with the stunning beaches. Seahouses just down the road and Holy Island a short drive. The hotel and its staff is excellent. Given its location next to the A1 it is very quiet. The breakfasts are lovely, plenty of choice and the restaurant food on an evening is excellent. Highly recommend the steak pie or slow cooked belly pork. We cant waitvto go back again."

The Bamburgh Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group

The Bamburgh Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group

8/10 Good
"Great location with lovely views over the harbour. Full of character. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was in the Annex on the back, but it was very comfortable with a huge queen size bed. The bathroom was ok with a modest cubicle shower, but larger people may struggle with the size. We were lucky to arrive mid day and parked at the hotel. There are limited spaces and you may need to park elsewhere and pay. In high season this could be difficult and Seahouses is small and gets packed. The bar menu was good, but restricted and what we did eat was very tasty. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection, but the food a bit hit and miss for freshness. You can however, order options from the menu. The hotel is a great base for the walk to Bamburgh Castle (3 miles along the beach or along the coast path if the tide turns). The walk to the boats for the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne takes two minutes. A very popular hotel and bar for dog walkers, of which there were many! Would we stay again? Yes!"

"We have just stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend. The room was very clean and had everything we needed .Even though we were on the ground floor at the back we did not experience any noise from the bar or restaurant. In fact the only noise we heard was the cars on the gravel in the car park. The food was excellent there was so much choice for breakfast. The evening menu was amazing all locally sourced food. We tried several dishes and all of them were so tasty and the portions were just right. This place is a little gem in a lovely quiet village. If you are visiting this part of the country stay here you won’t be disappointed!"

"Excellent countryside location, 5 minutes drive to A1, 10 minutes to Berwick. Gorgeous cottage & throughout the decor has the theme of roses is reflected. In the garden, with lovely seating area. Ground floor the Spacious bedroom, changing room & en-suite bathroom with separate bath & large shower. Upstairs another spacious twin bedroom & bathroom. Considerate selection of guest amenities, electric blanket & bedding/ towels. A very large/cosy lounge dining area & kitchen. The hosts have excelled in the kitchen, all equipment you will need, with surprising “coffee pods” what a delicious way to start your beautiful nature morning. A lovely guest touch, Northumbria Parking Disc Permits. Warm in person touch by hosts, checking we were all ok after arrival. As a retired hotelier, I was thrilled to see hospitality alive & excelling in Northumbria."
