"Great location near the train station. Helpful, friendly staff. Room was small but very clean and everything worked. Room 11 had a large skylight instead of a window but didn’t seem claustrophobic to me. Continental breakfast was self-serve with plenty of good things to choose from. (Cooked breakfast was also and option but I didn’t have that). Despite being in a pub building it was quiet. The building is old but well maintained. Good value."

"Lovely stay. Stayed in the Groundskeepers Cottage. Could be doing with a bit of a refresh but room itself was nice. Bed super comfortable and bathroom nice and spacious."

"A really well equipped cottage, comfortable and in a beautiful setting.We saw Hares, Squirrels , Deer and there was lovely birdsong.Great location for Berwick, Bamburgh, and Holy Island.We would return again."

"Great quiet place, kitchen had all the utensils necessary to prepare and cook meals. Beautiful surroundings. One should plan on bringing food, there is a pub in Paxton, however, it’s closed Monday and Tuesday. Grocery stores in Berwick, not far from the cottage. Great place to stay if you are fishing."
