I don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled to write about le grand chalet. Excellent hotel with fantastic staff. Great views, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast (included, how refreshing!), fabulous wine list, helpful transportation service. We had a beautiful room with a large balcony with a view of the mountains. The staff in the hotel were charming and helpful. Breakfasts could be had in your room or the restaurant. There was yoghurt with homemade fruit compote, fruit salad, and delicious rolls and pastries.

Beautiful hotel, great service and a wonderful breakfast which was the highlight of the stay for us. The only issue was the outside area by the pool, they need to have someone continually there to clear up, this was one of the first impressions I had of the hotel, towels and used glasses everywhere. That said, this is a beautiful 5 star hotel with lots of extras and the price was worth this level of luxury.

Top-notch hotel, absolutely blown away by the beautiful views, amazing food and excellent service. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. The evening meal was devine and the breakfast was tasty too. And the heated outdoor pool at the spa with the mountain views, wow what an incredible experience! I was sad to only be able to stay here one night but I hope to be back again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Switzerland!

The hotel itself was beautiful, very grand as stated in the name. The staff were ever so helpful and very attentive. The room had a few cobwebs near the radiator and window in the room but other than that the room was clean. Very hospitable and welcoming staff, would definitely stay here again! Intercontinental breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, sauna/steam room.

Absolutely lovely in every way -- Clean, pretty and quiet -- excellent food and fast wifi. Perfect for a break -- or holiday -- recommend frequently.

Stayed as part as of a road trip.charming swiss hotel with all the trimmings..Gaby was an ecxellent host...you need to brink coins for the car park ...nice views peacefull and nicely located for walkers/ hikers..if you like your hotels big and modern this isntfor you its full of character ...the clue is in the name...

The hotel is right by the station which is very handy for a multi centre holiday and it is very central for everything you may want to do in Bern. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The roof terrace is beautiful and the rooms are really well equipped really comfy beds and brilliant showers. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so can’t comment on that, breakfast was 40 chf per head which seemed a lot so we used local cafes instead.
