"Best food I’ve had in northern Spain and I’ve been here 4 weeks so far. It’s a bit of a trip but well worth it assuming you have access to a car Slight hippy vibe and you feel like a guest in someone’s home rather than just a hotel. Will definitely visit again. "

"The hotel and the surrounding countryside is lovely. The room was very comfortable with great views. The hotel manager was extremely kind and very helpful. He helped me out of a self inflicted mishap."

"We tried to email and call the hotel about arrival time, but didn't get any reply or someone to pick up. Therefore upon arrival there was some confusion re the availability, but we ended up in a nice and spacious room. Breakfast has to be paid in cash, so we ended up eating somewhere else."

Its proximity to Santander provides easy access to the city, while its serene surroundings ensure a peaceful retreat. A highlight of our stay was the exceptional culinary experience offered by the hotel's Michelin-starred chef. Please note that this exclusive experience is available by reservation only, so be sure to book in advance. I'm not sure why Hotel Pico Velasco is rated only 3 stars, perhaps due to the lack of a spa or concierge service. However, in my opinion, it deserves a much higher rating. The hotel's charm, character, and exceptional service make it a truly fantastic choice. I highly recommend Hotel Pico Velasco to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience.
