Benidorm Centro Travel Guide

Benidorm

A beach with palm trees, a city skyline, and a clear blue sky.
A coastal promenade with a blue mosaic pavement, palm trees, and a beach with people and umbrellas.
A bustling urban street with high-rise buildings, outdoor seating at cafes, and a clear blue sky.
A modern building with a glass facade and a covered pedestrian walkway.
A public square with a sculpture, benches, and a street with cars and buildings.

Lively cabaret entertainment sets this seaside town apart from its neighbours in Alicante. Bask in the sun on the beaches and visit the tapas bars after sundown.

Benidorm Centro is the core of the lively and popular resort on the Costa Blanca. The town has wide tree-lined boulevards, sandy beaches and towering apartment complexes, while restaurants, bars and entertainment venues keep locals and tourists active into the night. See some of the historic buildings and museums dotted around this central district of Benidorm.

Sunbathe on one of the beaches along the southern side of the town. Lifeguards patrol the three main strands of Poniente Beach, Playa de Mal Pas and Levante in summer. Take a boat trip to Calpe, Altea and other towns along the Alicante coastline.

The central portion of Benidorm offers more than just sun and sea. Get a history lesson with a visit to the San Jaime y Santa Ana Church on a peninsula jutting into the sea. Participate in religious celebrations and listen to the tunes of the pipe organ in this church, which dates back to the 1700s. Walk around the adjacent Plaza Santa Ana and enjoy the views of the sea from the Balcón del Mediterráneo. Descend the stairs to the Mirador de Punta Canfali viewpoint at the very tip of the peninsula.

Bring the kids to the Mini Marina complex, where they can play mini-golf in a harbour-like setting. Other children’s entertainment hubs include Festilandia Park and Ozone Bowling Benidorm.

Stay in the area in the evening, when flamboyant cabaret acts provide entertainment, often free. For a distinctly Spanish flavour, head to a tapas bar. Benidorm Centro is an ideal destination year round, with hot summers and mild winters.

The district marks the heart of Benidorm in the province of Alicante, which is in the southeastern part of Spain. Get a flight to the Alicante Airport and drive north along the coast for about 1 hour to get here. You can move around the town by taxi or bus.

Benidorm Centro is a fun and lively area filled with beaches, cabaret acts and museums.
