Benidorm Hotel Guide - Family Friendly Hotels in Benidorm, Spain

We booked very late for a week's break at the end of the school holidays - a family of 4. Two kids (8 and 5) two parents. Hotel staff incredibly friendly and helpful. There were relaxing spa facilities that my wife enjoyed. I arrived and thought that the hotel grounds appeared a little restricted for the size of hotel but everything works like a well liked machine, especially the way the sunbed area is tidily rearranged every evening and cannot be accessed by the sunbed hogs until after 10.00 am!! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the children's activities (mini club) and play facilities (2 swimming pool slides, water play area, mini golf, pedal carts, ball court, basketball hoop, bouncy castle, trampoline, climbing frame) which went on through the afternoon right up until midnight (yes midnight!), including the children's disco that started at 9.45pm, and a games room that was open 24/7!! The food was generally fresh, well cooked and varied daily. Fantastic, fantastic beach is available 10 minutes walk away.

Cost me €120 extra on arrival for 4 nights to go from maximum deal with Expedia to actual all inclusive. Seen some nasty falls. Tiles around swimming pool slippery when wet. Very good diverse food buffets.

Upsides: Nice hotel in the far the Spanish side. It was nice being amongst the Spanish people are very friendly and always said hello. There is a good family feel to the place. Room is bright and big enough. Bathroom is decent. Balcony but views can vary from stunning sea views to looking onto the back. I had a view of the pool from my room. Went full-board. Ate there for nearly all of my meals. Food was great. Good variety and tasted good. Staff in restaurant were excellent. Always keeping on top of clearing away dirty plates and bringing drinks quickly after ordered. Pool is good. Always spare sunbeds to lounge in. Entertainment was adequate i'd say. Nothing special. Nearby beach is big and has lots of room. Nice and quiet compared with beaches on the English side. Decent food places nearby. Bus stop is close by and only 1.50 to get into the centre (about 15 mins). Taxis are between 7 - 12 euros. Supermarket, pharmacy and other amenities nearby like cash machine. Downsides: You will never get in the lifts during busy periods so you will be walking up and down a fair few flights of stairs. Lifts need upgrading. Hill between hotel and beach (curls around) or the very long staircase was fine for me because I am fit but others won't like it. balcony cannot be enjoyed at night because they have ridiculous LED flashing lights which turn your balcony into a disco. Almost had a fit. Seriously, you cannot use them at all at night because of the lights.

We have been here now 5 times and I would not hesitate to go again the breakfasts are lovely loads of choice and a long opening period, we have had evening meals and lunches before but I did get a bit bored with choice so this time we just did B and B there are so many cheap places to eat out within a quick walking distance it gave us the chance to go for a decent walk each night too. The walk if you take the sea front route is 3.5 miles to old town and back which is a hive of activity in the evenings and loads of places to grab a drink and food. The hotel has nice spa facilities a decent gym lovely outdoor pools and grounds if you like having a massage the ladies that work on site are excellent. The hotel is positioned slightly back from the main strip but on the same road where there a lot of bars and shops this is nice as it's not too loud an area and you can guarantee a good nights sleep the beds are very comfy and the rooms well sound proofed. My only issue is the lifts trying to get downstairs at night can be a nightmare even though there are four lifts you can wait ages as every one is trying to get down stairs roughly at the same time other than that it's a great hotel and I will definitely be back again next year.

Long way up the hill, but shuttle bus runs every 15mins until 7/8 in the evening. The walk back late at night is a pain but the hotel itself is great for the price, clean and tidy.

No problems with food and cleanliness. Enjoyed the entertainment very much.

Great hotel for both couples and families. Plenty outside space for the kids and great adults only pool on 4th floor. Maid service daily and large spacious rooms and balconies. It's about a 20minute walk to beach but there's a bus that runs every half hour

Hotel needs updating ie. paintwork in rooms etc. You cannot go hungry as there was a very good choice at meal times. Would go again to this hotel although quite noisy at night especially in the early hours ie. slamming of room doors etc, no carpets in coridoors so therefor noisy underfoot. Good location for Old Benidorm town, shops, beach etc.

Lovely hotel perfectly placed near the beach and just a few minute walk from the shop, restaurants and bars in old Benidorm and far enough away from the rowdy night life in new Benidorm. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff lovely and helpful. Food excellent. Will definitely go back there.
