"The cottage is so homely and had everything you needed! Definitely a home from home. Hot tub was a fantastic edition. We also used the pizza oven one evening. Both bathrooms had powerful and hot showers. The host was very attentive and responded within hours of sending a message. Location is just picture perfect, with Ennerdale Water a 2 min drive away with plenty parking. There isn’t much else to do, other than walk at the lake, it was very quiet and peaceful. "My friend and I stayed here for a few days and we had a great time. The apartment was super clean, really modern, spacious and comfortable and just the perfect place to go back to after a long walk. It’s near loads of nice bars, restaurants and coffee shops in a great location with nearby parking provided by the host. Steve was quick to respond to any messages and queries we had. Will definitely be going back!"

"We chose Puddleduck House for its super location and loved the welcoming feel of the place. It has everything one needs for a relaxed, comfortable stay; well equipped kitchen, a large dining table with comfy chairs, plenty of seating in the lounge and very comfy beds. There was a plentiful supply of hot water and delicious smelling soap, nice white towels and a generous number of toilet rolls! We didn’t use the garden as it was wet and windy for our stay. "We had a nice stay as we were visiting the Lakes district. The house is clean, tidy and in a quiet location. Just one minor thing to consider: the bathroom is downstairs and at the very opposite end of the house so not the easiest to access if one of you needs to go to the bathroom often in the night. Overall recommend!"

"We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It had everything we could want. The sheep, horse across the street, and all the nearby paths were a big draw for us. It was close to several highlights in the region without the crowds. The house was good for our small children; my son loved the dog draft stopper. We didn’t want to leave!"

"This cottage is lovely and cosy, well appointed. V useful to have a washer/drier. Could have done with a bit more crockery, especially bowls and glasses and the wifi was very intermittent. However, a lovely place and very comfortable. Great location and views."
