We stayed here every time we are in the area and this property and the agent never failed us. Great, clean little house with outstanding views. Will always book this property when in the area.
My family had a wonderful stay at the property. This is a great place to stay for a quiet, peaceful retreat and was only 10 minutes away from downtown Beaufort. Far enough away to enjoy the serenity of the Sound's natural habitats, close enough to the towns and cities to enjoy local restaurants and the beaches. Would definitely return to this spot.
Property is awesome. Beautiful scenery, landscaped immaculately, decorated so nice, unbelievably stocked with supplies, and owners could not be more caring or responsive. Quiet, relaxing and a great stay!
The serene view is just what was needed! The house is a quaint house. Open plan was great to reconnect with the family. Wonderful communication with the house manager! Definitely will bring a kayak next time!
Emily is an amazing host, very responsive and accommodating. You can’t beat the views at this house, truly breathtaking. Thank you for everything Emily!
The house is nicely decorated in coastal decor with comfortable beds and kitchenware. The view is serene and we enjoyed watching the resident white egret fish for dinner. Host was attentive and helpful.
This property has everything. Right on the water beautiful view just far enough to be away from everything but yet close enough to do everything! Very clean, tastefully decorated but not over done, yard in great shape and perfect for family!
The property is great as always. Always clean and all the things you needed for a family vacation. The fishing in the backyard is always a plus. Check in and out is always smooth and never had an issue during our stays.
Such a cute house in a great location. The house is only minutes from downtown Beaufort and Morehead City. The views are beautiful and the house is in a quiet area. The hostess, Emily, was super friendly and so accommodating. It was nice to have so many things included with the house. We will definitely choose this house again when we come back to the area.
We loved our stay! It was perfect. Very quiet area. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed (towels, washcloths, pillows, blankets) to have an enjoyable week vacation. The host was very pleasant to communicate with. If you needed anything she was a phone call or text away. Definitely will book again next year.
We stayed here for a couple of great reasons and it didn’t disappoint. 1- pets -all pets welcome. We had a small cat traveling with us and they were very receptive. 2- location- the location of this house was perfect for us to jump in the car and head out to some other amazing towns, and 3- amenities- I personally being a VRBO owner for property in Florida found the supplies to be more than substantial. Coffee, creamer, paper products etc!
Communication with the owners were fantastic too. Thanks for making part 1 of our NSTT very memorable.
We stayed at this house over New Years. It's a lovely place. It's outside of Beaufort (about a ten minute drive) which we enjoyed--it was very peaceful. The view through almost all the windows is of the marsh and the open water beyond, with egrets and herons fishing. Lovely sunrises too.
The house is comfortable, decorated with a beachy theme in pleasant relaxing colors. The bed is super comfortable and the kitchen is set up well for various cooking projects. Everything you need is there! I think there is a TV in every room, if you're into that. If not, look out the window and watch the ibises fly by.
My family and I were in town for a wedding. This house was convenient to everything in Beaufort. Beautiful water views. I must leave an honest review and prepare others for their stay though. This house swayed very badly. So much so our 18 y/o woke up in the middle of the night crying. There was 6 of us and we all felt it, especially when sleeping and using the bathroom. I would like to think the owners and/or property manager are aware of this, but we were not. As long as you're okay with rocking at night and feeling like you're on a boat in the middle of the ocean, you should be fine.
Great vacation house for people who want to be close to the coast
We had a wonderful time. We love to fish and we carried our boat so we put it in several times in different locations. Downtown Beaufort and Morehead city is just minutes away as is many restaurants and grocery stores as well so everything was very accessible. The house was well decorated for the beach vibe and the air worked very well and that in its self was a blessing to me as I can be very hot natured The neighbors were quite and the place was very peaceful. We stood out on the deck everyday watching the tide come in and go back out and watched many many different birds searching for food with the moving tides We could watch the sun rise over the water through the glass doors or on the deck with morning coffee and my only complaint would be that we needed more time there Although nothing to do with the house but the fees I felt were a little high compared to some others but that’s the way it goes I suppose but I would stay again sometime and I hope we can
My son and I came for the weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is in a great location, just 10 minutes from downtown Beaufort where we enjoyed dining out and adventures such as taking the ferry to Bird Shoals to see the wild horses and going on a fishing charter expedition.
We also enjoyed the time we spent on the property itself. The house was recently renovated and has a special authentic charm. The waterfront views, especially in the morning as the sun rises, are spectacular. While close to town, we felt as if we had our own private get-away. We did some crabbing in the water around the house and made good use of the grill and comfortable outdoor seating.
The owner couldn't be nicer, providing complimentary coffee and laundry/dishwasher pods. Also, we ran into a minor technical issue related to internet connectivity and she helped us resolve it immediately. Additional pluses are the new televisions with access to NetFlix, Disney Plus, etc. and the super comfortable beds.
We highly recommend this house and plan to stay again.
