Check in and check out was super easy and staff was super friendly. I have stayed at the Bay Shores for three consecutive years while visiting relatives in the area and the minute I arrive I feel like I am at home. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the hotel is well situated for the beach, the pier, a park and local shops. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The proprietors are so friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are very clean and pleasant. This is my second stay, and it was just as good as the first. The shared kitchen is an added bonus, and is well equipped. It's also very close to the beach trail, so ideal for runners or hikers. The only slight negative is the proximity to the freeway, which is noisy, so if that bothers you, bring some earplugs. The location is great, and the parking is plentiful.
