What a delightful Hotel! Our daughter, Hannah Simons, and her boyfriend, Colin Watts, suggested we stay @ Gardette Park Hotel and we are glad we did! Mose Matoub took very good care of us and went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The other staff were also very helpful when our shuttle was late. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be a bus/subway trip from anywhere in the City of Paris!
The hotel is in a great location and close to the Metro an good restaurants. I would not rate it as a 4 star, maybe a 3 1/2 star. There were plastic glasses in the washroom and the shower although modern allows water all over the floor. poor design.. Staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is expensive and you can get a nice European breakfast two or three doors down and at a Bistro.

This was my first trip to Paris, my daughter had been there before. This hotel worked out very well for location, 3 blocks to either of two metro stops. Easy access to restaurants and stores for grocery or pharmacy needs.
Triple room with 3 singles fit our need, small as expected for Paris, but well suited. Elevator worked well. Quiet at night.

My husband and I had the best time here. We had a room with french doors and the bed was very comfortable. It was super close to the Metro and also very close to Bastille, shopping and a ton of Pattisseries/Boulangeries. The staff was friendly and very helpful and we couldn't be happier! Highly recommend.
We stayed for 4 days in Paris. We walk & use metro & SNCF trains. The hotel is quite close to the metro & Gare L'Est & Gare du Nord. It's also a nice walk to the Louvre & St Germain de Pres. Also to Republique & Monmatre.
There are a variety of bars & nice restaurants in the Marais district.
The Hotel is "off the beaten track" as we Aussies say. But it is really good. The room we chose was so quiet & really comfortable. All the amenities are first class.
Northeast of Place de la Bastille, this working-class neighbourhood is gradually becoming fashionable with younger Parisians. Trendy boutiques, cafés and bars are replacing the older shops and bistros, although some old-fashioned workshops survive. Left-wing sentiments are aired here annually on 14th July when France commemorates the Revolution. A few paving stones mark the site of the former Bastille prison.
