10/10 Excellent
"Amazing room and comfy bed. All newly refurbished. Lovely swans made on the bed with the towels. Used the pool and assume that area hasn’t finished been done yet - steam room needs refurbishing but sauna and swim were great. Bar at the back on the waterfront really nice."

"Attended for a wedding and was impressed. Rooms felt more like a bedroom at home than a hotel. Lovely breakfast too. Room was on the roadside but no traffic noise."

"Fine weekend stay (even though I booked this hotel by mistake). We had dinner one night and it was very good. The cafe on the corner was another bonus, selling breakfasts, rolls, lunches etc. There was only 1 bath towel in a room for two people. I had to ask for another couple. The toilet seat in the ensuite was loose. Other than these minor moans, I could see that the owners had made efforts to put up nice pictures in the public areas and extra teas and coffees, toilet rolls and reading materials were situated in the hallways. Good car parking available too."

"Always a wonderful stay here in this gorgeous Georgian Hotel. Very happy to accept our mini dachshund who was able to sit with us at breakfast. Staff were friendly and hospitable as per usual. Always there for anything but not unobtrusive. My wife had a anti aging facial in the spa and felt incredibly relaxed afterwards. The Superior room was spacious and perfect for our 3 night stay. A special mention for the shower which was possibly the best I have had in the UK. Maybe its the waters in Matlock Bath. They do say they are rejuvenating."
