"Initially, the property felt a little bit out of the way, but using the nearby underground station helped with that. We struggled a bit to find somewhere to eat, so we were tickled pink to discover the nearby Foody at the Woody at the Woodside Inn. When we arrived, the TV wasn't working; it took a fair bit of perseverance, but with the help of the host, we got it working. "Great location, overall it was a nice place to stay. We had a private apartment style room for our group of 5. The hostel hallways and common areas smelled like old rug and cigarettes. The staff was friendly. The hostel could really benefit from a small fitness area. This place is a good option if you are traveling on a budget."

"Had a lovely time here. Had a slight booking issue that staff went above and beyond to resolve which was so helpful. The room was large and spotless, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom just wonderful. I loved the bathroom decor so much I’d get it put in at home. White Company toiletries was an added bonus of luxury. Very nice."

"Housekeeping and cleanliness throughout the hotel was of a very high standard. The staff were very helpful and polite providing relative information on our arrival. The bar was of a very high standard offering a great selection of drinks and cocktails all prepared expertly by their highly qualified barman Benjamin. He brought an energy to the bar amongst all the residents drinking there when we were. The atmosphere was happy and friendly. Breakfast was ok but selection of cooked foods was disappointing. Of the 6 items on offer there was no sausages, haggis or beans when we were there. So only bacon, hash browns and scrambled egg available. I did manage to acquire a fried egg but only by asking a waiter who relayed my request to the chef. Fresh fruit was nicely prepared and adequate selection. Plain yogurt was nice quality. Tea/coffee machine was decent quality and good selection of coffee and tea bags. So hotel and bar I’d give 9/10. I’d like to have a small fridge in the rooms to make this 10/10. Breakfast I’d give 5/10."
