Our Artist Apartment has an open concept 2 BD / 2 BR layout, High speed wifi, smart TVs in the bedrooms, comfortable bedrooms, lots of natural light, stainless appliances, and a covered porch.

An amazing new quaint community tucked slightly off Barnett Shoals Road. Bailey Commons offers a convenient location while still remaining tucked away from the noise of the busy streets.

You can access the apartment via the parking lot facing door. This door is outfitted with a smart lock. Type the last 4 digits of the phone number on file and wait 3 seconds for a blue unlock icon to light up. From there, turn the door knock and enter!

"We had a great stay at Alex’s! There was great communication throughout, and the host provided super clear and easy check-in/out instructions. The unit itself felt brand new with very comfortable beds, solid water pressure, lovely decor, and thoughtful touches throughout. It was so nice being on Barnett Shoals with easy access to the east side and all the restaurants on that side of town without having to get into the chaos of downtown on an SEC gameday weekend. “Retreat” is the right name!

Lovely property that is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped. I loved the art! Location is convenient to great walking sites, grocery stores, and other Athens sites. Highly recommend if you’re staying in Athens.

The Artists Retreat is a great spot. Great location, easy access to the campus and downtown. The hosts were very attentive to our needs and responsive to all requests. We will stay here again.

Great holiday stay!

We stayed here while visiting our student over Thanksgiving. The space was great and the house was immaculate! We were able to cook a holiday meal and enjoy having family together.

The location is perfect. It is near downtown. It is tucked away from the noise of downtown so its nice and quite. The neighborhood is nice and so is parking. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect!

This property was so cute and very clean. Really nicely decorated. It is conveniently located, close to downtown and the Classic Center. Alex was very responsive when I had a question. Check in was very easy. Good parking. Will definitely stay here again.

Work Trip to Athens

Hotels near our conference were full, so we found this lovely place to stay for the week. It was wonderful - very clean and comfortable! Excellent communication and parking right in front of the door! Location was super close to downtown and also a Publix (within a couple miles of each!). Would stay here again and highly recommend!!

A wonderful place!

Everything was perfect! I wanted to move in. The beds were the most comfortable ever! I even asked where they bought the mattresses. I have never slept better! Everything was so clean and beautiful! We will definetely go back again when we need to stay in Athens. Great hosts and Alex always kept in touch with anything I needed.

We really enjoyed our stay in Athens! The place was lovely—clean, cozy, and stocked with all the essentials—and the hosts were incredibly kind and responsive. They even removed a diffuser at my request due to scent sensitivity, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. Just a heads-up for light sleepers: one of the bedrooms faces a street and the other backs up to a parking lot, so some street noise is to be expected. A white noise machine or earplugs might help if you’re sensitive. I also felt a bit uneasy in the evenings, but the host was quick to respond and mentioned plans to install a security camera, which should help future guests feel more at ease. Overall, it was a great stay with attentive hosts and a comfortable space!

Awesome Stay!

Our teenager is a junior golfer and we have stayed in LOTS of VRBOs, this was by far our favorite! Super clean, comfy beds, blackout curtains, beautifully decorated. Every detail was well thought out. We loved the Pellegrino and cookies. Alex & Mer are the most thoughtful hosts and we hope to return one day!

Light, Bright & Beautiful

Living area is bigger in person - beautifully decorated place! Nice finishes. Bedroom curtains are awesome for room darkening. Comfy bedding. Kitchen can seat 10 people. Great water pressure in the showers - shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. Well lit exterior and lots of parking. Easy access to highway, UGA campus, and downtown. Pellegrino and cookies to welcome you are a nice touch. Hosts are VERY responsive. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Athens!
