"The location was perfect, really perfect, right in the middle of everything. The staff was helpful and booked us a fun whale watch. The room was very nice and they served a wonderful breakfast."

Lovely, small hotel. Rooms modern, stylish, very warm and wonderfully clean. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive - nothing was too big or small for their kind attention, efficient. Continental breakfast plentiful and fresh, tea and coffee available in small but stylish lounge 24/7.
I want to go back in the summer and will book this hotel again and have no hesitation in recommending it to all my friends.

Staff in the hotel were all pleasant and helpful, and rooms were nice and comfortable. I opted not to eat in the restaurant as I thought I'd be pushed for time to have breakfast before some of the organised tours starting at 8am, and generally decided to eat elsewhere in Reykjavik for dinner.
Location wise, it's a quiet road just at the eastern edge of downtown, so just a few minutes walk away from various shops and restaurants. Also about 5 minutes walk from bus stop #12 which seems to be one...

Fantastic hotel in a superb location. Service is excellent and the bagel shop and Le Kock are fab. Got to try the garlic and parmesan potatoes in Le Kock and the smoked salmon bagels are out of this world!
Location is fantastic for both the town and for the whale watching/Northern Lights.
Bedrooms comfortable and bathroom was great. Not sure about the decor - our room looked like it hadn't been finished but it was a design choice apparently. Not my taste but some might like it.

Hotel Laxnes is located in Haholt which is about a 15 minute drive from Reyakvic. The views from the bedroom was stunning and there are plenty of facilities close by e.g. supermarket, pub and bakery. There is a bus stop just outside of the hotel and the number 15 and 6 go into Reyakvic, so it's easy to get into Reyakvic. The hotel was very clean and was cleaned everyday during our stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and there was always plenty to eat at...

The views and amenities for this place are amazing. The apartment had absolutely everything you could want. The host was very happy to show us around and made us feel very welcome. The hot tub was just the "icing on the cake" for us - many thanks.
I have never slept in such a comfy bed!!
I would highly recommend both apartment & location x

A lovely hotel, centrally located on Laugevegur. Although we’d emailed ahead to pay for early check in, our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but we were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room and explore the city. Laugevegur is a pedestrian street in the part where the hotel is so it isn’t possible to be picked up or dropped off directly outside. The bus stop for Flybus (and tour pick ups) is number 14 at the bottom of a reasonably steep hill - getting the suitcases up was a challenge...

The stylish and welcoming hotel is ideally situated in the city centre. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They booked us day trips and gave advice on things to do and where to eat. Won't hesitate to come back as the hotel made our holiday.

The Hotel staff are very welcoming and gave all additional information and advice about trips when asked for.Breakfast was continental and good quality but no hot food.We had a rental car so cannot comment about transport facilities. Overall a very good stay. The gym is an added bonus.

The hotel’s location was excellent and it had an elegant feel to it! Staff were very friendly and also welcoming too. Our room was upgraded on arrival also. I’d definitely recommend staying here to other travellers!

Immaculately presented and well located city centre hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby offering both comfort food and more traditional Icelandic cuisine. Breakfast buffet was amply sized which set us up nicely for our day trips. Room was comfortable and suitably warm. Housekeeping always ensured it was well presented with what seemed like a million cushions each time we returned in the evening. Although we didn’t drink there, the bar looked cosy, and had a warming fire each time we...

We had the 2 bed apartment for our first night in Iceland. Free parking for our rental car very handy. Apartment was large, spacious, very clean and everything in the kitchen we needed. Walking distance to all the bars, restaurants and sightseeing in Reykjavik. The apartment is on the ground floor, only drawback is the curtains don't quite reach the edge of the windows so people can see in. Had to tuck them around the radiators. Excellent bakery right opposite for morning pastries and packed...

It's a great apartment, very comfortable. It is close to the town centre, shopping mall and a lot of the sites are walking distance from here. The apartment itself is clean, fully furnished, modern and comfortable. It was a pleasure to stay there.

This is perfect for one night or a couple nights. Was clean, had everything we needed. Didn’t see any staff but we had excellent instructions so was no problem. The room itself is quite small but was perfect for one night. Would absolutely stay here again
