"We rented to see what living off the coast and into the hills would be like. The set up is great, all amenities there were well looked after and we felt we had the place to ourselves even though there were other guests. Very peaceful and night and great for star gazing. We did not use the pool as weather was not hot enough, but we did BBQ a couple of times which was lovely. The log burner was a nice feature but was needed at night. "When we arrived the hosts were VERY thorough; here are the plates, knives, forks, fridge, washing machine, washing machine manuel. The tour took 30 mins! When we finallu asked, "where is the pool?", we were told to arrange a time and we could use it. When we did this the next day, we were told it was broken, and broke two days before our arrival. "Brilliant base from which to explore the forested North of Tenerife, just a short hop from picturesque Puerto de la Cruz and loads of good walks nearby. Good access to the main road by car, after the long switchback, but it was too much/long for a stroll to nearby La Matanza de Acentejo in the heat. Hosts Peter and Martina were friendly, but discreet and I couldn't speak more highly of their helpfulness. We had a fab one week stay."

"Perfect location for lots of hiking and running routes. The hotel is clean and has great facilities, pool, gym and onsite laundry for a few euros. Parking is hard to come by although there are places to park on the street, it is pretty busy and we ended up with a scuff on the hire car on the first morning return to the car where someone had obviously tried to park behind us but failed!
