The hotel is situated in a quiet corner of Alnwick overlooking the castle and yet only 5 minutes away from the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. "Stayed in a Garden Room which was lovely and had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed, good bathroom and comfortable chairs for a pre-dinner drink. Enjoyed Breakfast both in the hotel and in the pub. Good base for two days of walking. "

"Grand old building , room clean and tidy , excellent night’s sleep . Breakfast good loved the timed sit down . Significant problem in that to ensure right mix of tables, all through the meal tables were being dismantled rolled out to a storage room and others replaced and set . A bit like breakfast whilst refurbishment on going ."
