"I really enjoyed my stay at the Wilde. The one bedroom apartment worked perfectly for my group. I loved how clean and updated it was and enjoyed the technology in the room. It was beautifully designed. The beds were comfy and linens, towels and all of the accessories (toiletries, coffee, etc.) were excellent. Great hotel and would absolutely stay again!"

"Stunning hotel and spa but I feel the rooms do let it down and don’t match at all. Breakfast was incredible but expensive. Sadly only got offered 50% off an upgrade when the hotel was empty. Glass table in room was very scratched and decor just boring if I’m honest. Bathroom - shower door didn’t go to the floor so made bathroom floor very wet and dangerous. Shower was okay and toiletries felt watered down. Staff were as helpful as they could have been. Allowed to drop bags off outside hotel but nearest NCP is £33 for 24 hours. Was very lucky to find a space on the road next to hotel but only 5 spaces. Card for the room stopped working twice also."

"Great location and room was perfect for a base to explore. Breakfast was included in the stay so we went for the cooked breakfast. With a little more care in cooking this would have been lovely. The sausages were solid and the hash browns were very soggy. Lots of other options though and would definitely stay again"

"The second you step into the Dakota you feel a warm presence with extremely polite staff. The hotel interior is fantastic and screams first class. I used to stay at another 5 star further down Deansgate for years however I've found my new go to! The room was exceptional and very spacious. Room furniture was very plush, tv channel offerings were more than the usual and the bathroom was excellent - the provided toiletries were of a nice brand and featured underfloor heating. During my stay I ordered room service - the quality was nothing but excellent, the house burger was up there with one of my best, the side dish of short rib mac n cheese was also outstanding. For the first time in ages I really didn't want to call an end to my stay - I will definitely be booking at the Dakota again for my next Manchester stay."

"I booked a single room with twin bed but upgraded to a double bed and got a better room. The room itself was quite dark, except for first thing in the morning when the sun lit up the room and the bathroom, which was nice. The bedroom had only one central light (quite dark) and one bedside light, with no lighting over by the desk where the kettle/tea/coffee were, which was a little awkward. The bathroom was very nice, light, airy and spacious. The room itself was up and down a lot of stairs, along winding corridors with creaky floors, but the reason I chose this hotel was because it is hundreds of years old and has character, so I expected that! I was very disappointed with the internet, for a couple of reasons. One is that this is one of the few hotels I’ve stayed in recently that has open, unsecured internet, which is not good. The other is that it was very frustratingly intermittent and many everyday websites were simply not available, including the hotel’s own website! When I could get on a website or into my e-mails, one time it would be on and the next few minutes it would be off again, then back on, then off, even though it should me as still being connected!. Very frustrating. Perhaps this was because of the location of my room in the hotel and it being so old and having very thick walls? Anyway, I would recommend the hotel, as long as you know about the quirks. I liked the free parking and the hotel is located in nice private grounds, which is nice."
