"Was pleasantly surprised by how good this hotel was. The decor is a little dated but that really didn’t matter. Great air con, a comfy bed and clean bathroom with a powerful shower ticked all the boxes for me along with a restaurant with a small but tasty menu a good breakfast (free to all) and welcoming & friendly staff. It was a refreshing change to many an experience I’ve had recently in other hotels 😊"

"Excellent welcome by staff on arrival Breakfast fantastic a great choice and plenty of food Parking was easy and it was straightforward to log your vehicle Only little niggle was the room was cold because apparently the heating had been switched off two weeks earlier- I know it was June when I checked in but the English weather is unpredictable and a little heat at least first thing in the morning would have made it more comfortable"

"A good apartment for a short stay. First appearances were very favourable. It was a good base for the area and especially for the cricket ground. Parking was very easy. Using the postcode, the sat nav took us to the Tesco car park. The route from there to the Waterside building was like going three sides of a square. It is a 90 second walk between the two locations but a much longer drive!The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. There is a lovely view of two tulip trees from the feature window in the bedroom.The kitchen equipment is minimal, never enough to fill the dishwasher before running out of basics. It lacked a vegetable peeler and a pair of scissors, both bare minimums for self-catering.Disappointingly, the oven and the grill pan were dirty. The communal bin stores for recycling and refuse were both in a poor state due to residents not using them properly. This appears to be an ongoing issue. We brought our considerable recycling home."

"Lovely hotel in the centre of Taunton - staff were really helpful and polite when we checked in. The room was clean, comfortable bed and clean bathroom with all the amenities - great water pressure in the shower! Also the room was very quiet for a Friday night so not a lot of outside noise can be heard. Breakfast was really good lots of choices, fresh food and cooked to order items. Only negatives were we put our car on charge and the charger hadn’t worked so we tried a second one and had the same issue. Would be nice in the room to have better coffee instead of Nescafé sachets. But overall a lovely stay and would return."

"Fantastic house and so kind of the host to provide snacks tea coffee etc. everything was just perfect and made our stay so much more lovely. We attended a wedding locally so the house was perfect position. Even got to see the half marathon on the Sunday when leaving as it ran right past. Host communication was great. Would definately stay again , only slight issue was only had beds for 7 when we had booked for 8 but my son was happy on the sofa "
