"A fantastic hotel. Beautifully decorated and furnished throughout. Our bedroom (superior room) was exceptionally large as was the bathroom. King size bed really comfy. Dined in the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed an exquisite meal. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful with a mention special mention to Francesca who was really helpful and informative. Hotel is about a 10/15 minute drive from Bath city centre. "It is a beautiful luxurious hotel with a superb spa. Rooms were nice and bedding very comfortable. Grey's restaurant food is average and very limited choice and overhyped but breakfast was excellent. The biggest surprise on checking out was that they charged 10% service charge on the whole bill including the room charge that was prepaid on Hotels.com. There was no warning and left a bitter taste. "

"Beautiful Manor Hotel in the most picturesque village set in the hills of the Cotswolds. The staff did everything to make us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Walking trails were close to hotel and beautiful. Golf course was excellent and golf club was great food and service. We will definitely be back."

"We had a wonderful experience at the Gainsborough Bath Spa hotel during a short visit to town. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a couples massage during our stay and the spa in the hotel is top notch. The room was gorgeous with high ceilings and a nice separation of spaces. The nightly turndown service was unexpected and appreciated. We pretty much loved everything about this place!"

"All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. The spa area was very convenient and well maintained. We ate in the Pantry several times and the food was delicious. A variety of cocktails and mocktails were also on offer. The garden area is beautiful and has lots of available lawn games. Overall, the hotel provides a wonderfully relaxing experience."

"Really great place to stay.A stylish building that looks to have been recently renovated. Everything in the building looks to have had the touch of an interior designer and it’s a lovely mix of modern art and décor mixed in well with the old building. "This is a great hotel to stay in for a nice break in Bath. The location is perfect. When you leave the hotel door it’s a short walk in either direction to get you into the center of Bath. The staff are really polite and were helpful with suggestions on restaurants and things to do. Our room was superb. At the back of the hotel overlooking what I believe is part of the rugby ground. A huge room. Kept nice and clean. We had breakfast on 1 day and it was really nicely cooked. Next day we went to...

"The bedrooms have good facilities which adds to comfort, ie comfortable bed, Roberts radio, iron and ironing board, cafetière for your coffee as well as choice of teas. Large bathroom with good shower which was powerful and hot. We had dinner at the hotel and even though the food was okay, the service was slow. The staff were very apologetic but there were large parties in for dining and there are not enough waiting staff to cope."

"This is a very old property which has been sympathetically modernised. Spacious bedroom with lovely soft bedding. Good selections of tea, coffee and other drinks in the room. Staff were very attentive and the evening food gave good options on the menu which were well presented and tasty . We would stay again."
