"Very clean, modern apartment in very central pedestrian area. Looks down on the Hereford Bull. If you are light sleeper it can be noisy with late night revellers but it didn’t bother us. Also a market appeared right outside on Saturday. Parking was easy in the nearby car park ( less than 5 mins walk) Overall great apartment with lots within a couple of minutes walk but it maybe too central for some"

Very central, comfortable accommodation, bedroom is a mini-apartment with fridge and microwave, milk and range of chocolate biscuits left for you (homely touch), nice hot shower (in bath, not separate). No parking on the premises but pay-car-parks and free street parking close by. Attached to a more than decent pub/restaurant. Only mini drawback: the kitchen extractor fan was a little loud when we went to bed, but didn't last long.

We came to Hay on Wye to look at the bookshops and stayed in the Swan as a central location. The hotel is an old building so the stairs creak a bit and the carpets are slightly frayed in places but the hotel was warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable ( 2 arm chairs - a definite asset) and had a good view across fields. The food was very good and not expensive and the wine list was well thought-out. The dining room is elegantly laid out and there is a lovely garden for afternoon...

Our 3rd visit to this wonderful hotel and we are already booking for December where they have lovely open log fires just adding to the surrounds. Ian also delighted they have relaxed the lounge menu which can now be eaten at tables. Quite right too so great management decision. Their main menu is a wonderful 5 courses but if staying more than a day then it’s nice to have a more relaxed menu choice which this time we had.
