"The hotel was beautiful and the staff couldn’t do enough to help. We had the taster menu and everything was of exceptional quality and beautifully presented. "Historic building with lots of character, good view of river, delightful grounds. Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast (plenty of choice) and dinner, though both had a slight 'service wobble' on one day. "This is the most perfect choice. Right from arrival you have magnificient views of the countryside and peace, quiet and calm that we crave! We stayed in the Tallet which is the upstairs room and it wows when you walk in. Spacious and clean with gorgeous views. "Lovely room and pretty quiet despite opening on to the car park. Would have benefited from air conditioning as the room was very hot (that said, the weather was unusually warm) and for circa £200/night I would have expected it.
