"The spa area was great and fantastic and the staff was very helpfull but the hotel staff was not as friendly even when it was not busy. The ice machine on the 3rd floor was not working and when I asked for ice at the bar I was told that ice machine was broken for a long time."

"Wonderfull hotel, in a gorgeous setting, withs bags of character. Very friendly reception staff and tasty, fresh food in the restaurant. The room could haven a bit modernised, but i keeping with the overall experiense and setting, that was not an issue. Only thing which really let it down somewhat was some of the inexperienced / unhelpfull staff in the bar and restaurant."

"Pictures on Hotels.com are misleading! It has pictures of the bar in grand rooms but this is in a separate building not open to the public and the bar here was only for events. These pictures should not be attached to this hotel. It’s like putting pictures of The Savoy bar on a Premier Inn site. How is this allowed."

"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was too soft for my liking and I found it uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a nice room. The hotel is a little run down in places but it has a relaxed atmosphere and never felt busy. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and there was a great selection of food. We did have to wait for food to be replenished which was a bit disappointing."
