Breakfast was very good, and included in the room rate. Room was a little small and outdated, but adequate for the price. Overall it's an affordable, adequate, business-style hotel outside the main town area.

Wonderful hotel with all the amenities you could hope to have! Close to the city, but far enough away that it wasn't crowded or hectic. Cabs came quickly and could be called from a button right at the front desk. Breakfast was included and delicious and the bar and restaurant areas were very nice.

"Nice hotel but needs updating. Good staff. "
Very bad breakfast layout meaning I didn't have much of a breakfast on first morning due to a large party making it difficult to get near any of the food.

"Old with Character"
For the first Hotel we have ever stayed in Ireland, we picked a very good one. This an older antique type establishment that tries very hard to preserve it's image (Genuine antique furniture and fixtures in rooms and through out the hotel. If your looking for a hotel with modern conveniences, like hot tubs and the like.. This is not the place for you. But if you like a hotel with character and charm than this is it.

"Nice hotel"
We chose to stay away from Galway and it took about 20 minutes on the main highway to reach Galway. The hotel itself is comfortable with friendly staff and very good breakfasts. We would recommend staying here if you don't mind the drive into Galway.

"Excellent location on the bay area of Galway"
Hotel contacted me 3 days prior to our stay to ensure we were still going so we booked the trad on the prom show at that time, one of the best shows we have been to the only faul I would have is that we booked dinner with the show but did not get any conformation to show what we had paid for and dinner was very good.

Galway’s Hotels Are a Gateway to Heritage and History

With a pub seemingly on every street corner, it’s easy to find the sounds of traditional Irish music. The fiddlers and bodhran drummers flock to Galway, which counts Irish music as a major part of its heritage. There are also many sights to see in town, with a superb medieval church, the city’s original walls and landmarks dating back to the “Tribes” – the 14 merchant families who once ruled the town. Galway’s cobbled streets, colourful buildings and the sparkling River Corrib all create an atmosphere that is sure to delight every visitor.

Plan Your Visit to Artistic Galway from the Comfort of Your Hotel

Galway’s nickname is “The City of Festivals” and it’s no secret why. Galway has five major theatres, and the staff at your four star hotel will be only too happy to help you decide which play to see first.

    See the Most of Galway

Galway has lots of well-preserved relics of ancient Ireland within easy reach and you should be able to get some great advice from hotel staff about which of the county’s dolmens and Neolithic standing stones to visit. For those interested in more recent history, Galway is the location for several castles dating back to the Norman invaders.
