"Nice Hotel, close to beach"
Considering I paid for an executive room, other than a nice ocean view of beach, room is outdated. They need to renovate their furniture. It's better to get a taxi to drive to Stadium or ICC convention center, as it's NOT in walking distance as advertised.
I stayed at this hotel because it was recommended by Essence Festival Durban, but was disappointed that there were no representatives, to navigate the activities, for this festival. The hotel handed a pamphlet about Essence and that's it.
As a single traveler, could not make reservations for sightseeing trips thru hotel, they have a limit of 2 or 4 persons for tours.
Even the Riksha bus won't travel unless there are at least 4 people that signed up.
Breakfast buffet/in-room dining service, restaurants at both hotels, very good.
Only problem I had, as I've been traveling for 2 weeks in SA, without any problems with my luggage, on my last day at this hotel, l left my luggage(rolling suitcase and duffel bag) in storage, after I checked out. When I collected it to go to the airport 2 hours later, the porters had broken my luggage handle! NOT COOL..Common sense dictate that you push down the handle after you transport it to storage. I had 2 tickets after all, they could have placed my duffel bag on top of my suitcase, but for convenience they kept the handle up, and broke it! Thankfully their manager had tape to secure its handle so that I can manage it back to the states.
