Really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Helpful and accommodating staff. We used to come here when it was a pub- full of locals and guests and big roaring fire- created a great ambience which is slightly lacking now. Little cold without the log burner lit- an easy fix.

We had a WONDEFUL stay. I have to admit, when we arrived, we were not at all sure, but within a short period of time, it became very apparent that we had made a good choice. The room was spacious, air-conditioned and a huge bed, very comfortable. Arrived at the Shrewsbury after a very long journey. Was greeted by sandie who was friendly and nothing was any trouble for them. She showed us to room which was very well equipped and extremely clean. We had the four poster suite which was beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic served by Tony who was always very friendly and always found time for a chat offering a wide range which filled us up till the evening. Amazing room it had everything we needed for the weekend

All the little additions that make a great b&b are considered and make the stay special. The breakfast is good value and the service is really attentive and aimed to give you a great experience. The information they provide is also helpful but they could do with up dating some of the restaurant reccomendations which were in some cases overly optimistic in the presentation! Fab stay would thoroughly reccomend.

This hotel was lovely. Welcoming staff The room was clean the location is great. Wouldn’t recommend getting a room at the front if you have children it might be a bit noisy early hours of the morning. This is a stunning place to stay, well in keeping with the stunning surroundings that Suffolk provides. It is, to me, located in the perfect spot to explore what Suffolk has to offer. The place is clean, well decorated and in immaculate condition. I cannot fault it. Room was clean and big, door hinges needed oiling (squeaky) Breakfast not included. Very expensive to buy as an extra but many cheaper places nearby for breakfast. Overall a great place to stay, will definitely stay here again.
