Compare and book 3 Star hotels in Porthkerry, Barry

Hotel was clean and welcoming. First impression in foyer is bright and modern. Room a little dated but personally I don’t care about that at all so long as it’s clean, which it was. I appreciated being able to open the window, a good shower with towels that actually fit around an adult, plenty tv channels and good supply of tea/coffee and biscuits. Sometimes thats just what you want when in a hotel for an evening! Staff were helpful and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend.

We stayed two nights at the Bear in September and enjoyed it immensely. This is a ancient Coaching Inn and so layout is a little quirky. But the room was a good size and extremely comfortable. Large four poster bed, comfortable armchair, sufficient hanging space, a well appointed en suite and tea making facilities, made for a great stay. Breakfast was individually made and well cooked. We also are in the bar late on Sunday and the roast (topside of beef and all trimmings) was outstanding....

What a lovely quaint place to stay, with everything you need to have a relaxing time, would highly recommend.

3 nights stay & all very pleasant, you need a car to get around, very nicely laid out breakfast, full english, fresh fruit etc etc

Great comfy room. A nice size room. Amazing hot breakfast. Round the corner from Sophia gardens coach station. 10 to 15 mins walk into Cardiff centre. 10 mins walk to principality stadium. Only down side no lift but nice stairs Would definitely stay there again. We arrived in the rain but had a very warm welcome. All staff very nice No complaints

The cottage was very clean throughout. Check-in was entirely online, as the cottages are self-contained from the main building. I think I was the only person staying during my visit, making it blissfully quiet. There are no dining facilities on-site, so you will need to drive to the recommended local places to eat. I didn't actually try any of them, as I was using the cottage as a base to visit family. I will definitely look to book here again next time I am in the area."

A little off the beaten track but accommodation was excellent. All staff were friendly and courteous. Room was spacious with a great shower. Pub below/next door had a good selection of real ales.

We stayed in December so was very quite and easy to park. The property was very clean. Decor was modern and bright. It was very cold outside but room was lovely and warm. Only disappointment which was nothing to do with the property was thar the cocktail bar downstairs closed very early

Amazing hotel, loved the history of the hotel and the area. Room was fantastic with comfy, clean beds and an lovely bath spa. Enjoyed thoroughly.

Lovely B&B, wonderful hosts & fantastic breakfast. Will definitely be back

Fantastic individual hotel. Staff incredibly helpful. Do not miss the restaurant quality breakfast!

This was our second stay at the property. We received a warm welcome as usual and checked into our spacious family room. The hotel is clean but a little tired in places. We're happy to see that they are undertaking a refurbishment and look forward to seeing the results next year. The location is outstanding; a short walk from the beach and high street. The pool, hot tub and sauna are a fantastic bonus. Breakfast is lovely and plenty of it. We love our stays here and the character of an older...

Fantastic Place to stay and the rooms are so clean. You even have a lovey restaurant and bar that serves tapas. Will come again soon.

Excellent accommodation close to city centre and served by public transport.

Great service apartment in fairly central location
