Where to start , main door into so called suit rotten and insecure. Much the same inside , Rotten mismatched skirting , some of this caused by ill fitting shower curtain. I would say the room wasn’t dirty but needs a lot of tlc . Even the plug in the hand basin missing , how much do they even cost ? .
Silicone around the bathroom falling off and mouldy .. shocking . This hasn’t seen any investment in a long long time .

The junior suite (Marquises) that we stayed in was fabulous. It was spacious and very elegantly appointed. It would not be suitable for anyone with a mobility issue as there were 4 very steep stairs to the bathroom. The bathroom itself was very large and clean.
As this is a grade 2* hotel be aware that there is no elevator and no air conditioning. They provide fans and with windows open it was very pleasant.
The breakfast was good. Dinner was good and considerably better value than the afternoon tea (which we would not recommend as it lacked refinement in delivery, presentation and experience).
Overall a good stay on the outskirts of Cardiff with beautiful views over the city.

"Try and avoid a room facing the road. My room wall where the bed frame was suffered from resonance when lorries went last and road noise quite early in the morning.
