A pleasant enough hotel with friendly helpful staff. Easy to walk to from Manchester Piccadilly rail station. Easy walking distance to shopping area/Arndale centre/library and with excellent public transport links - trams, buses, taxis. A bit tatty in some areas and a bit too warm for my liking but clean & comfortable room, plenty of clean towels, good breakfast (pay extra for that though). Lift only from first floor which was a struggle for me with heavy suitcase. No dinner facilities so had to go out. Plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance. The area is a little 'rough' with people drinking and sleeping in doorways but as a 62 year old lone female on this occasion I never felt unsafe. Local services staff all friendly and helpful.
Nice place, convenient to transport and city centre. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the bed was comfortable. As an Australian I am used to a refrigerator in the room (who needs a refrigerator in England!) but a bucket of ice was available. I wonder if that disembodied woman in the lift gets fed up with saying "Doors opening/closing; going up/down; floor number..." all day every day!
My friend and I stayed here just as a cheap room for the night whilst we went to a show at the Manchester Arena.
We were pleasantly surprised with how lovely this hotel is!
It has multiple car parks around it, all within a 1-2 minute walk.. and it is right in the middle of the Northern Quarter. However this didn't mean it was noisy, at all!
Our room was gorgeous, it had really unique mosaic tiles in the bathroom, the shower had a huge shower head as well as a normal one - the hand soap, lotion, body wash and shampoo were all really nice with lovely scents! Not a cheap bar of soap like the usual places!
The room was so cosy, I felt like I was in a home, not a hotel room. Beautiful decor, with tea/coffee/water facilities and a nice quality kettle instead of a cheap plastic one, like you would expect.
I had a nap before I went out as I just couldn't resist the bed! It was so comfortable and I slept like a baby!
Great A/C unit in the room to create the perfect temperature. Perfectly working TV and overall beautiful room!
Apartment is very conveniently located to shops and tourist attractions but difficult to get to by car. Very spacious but bathroom not as clean as it could be and the hallways smelled like the frying oil from the chicken shop downstairs. There was also a bright orange light coming through bedroom windows all night. Just needs decent drapes. All in all, fine for the price.
