"Fantastic old hotel, our room had oak paneling and ensuite unusually with a jacuzzi! Staff very friendly and helpful. Good food in the restaurant. We didn't find out why they don't do Welsh breakfast but the continently breakfast was vert adequate. "

"The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was very good and worth staying in for. The hotel garden backs onto a beautiful park and is a three minute walk to cafes and shops (some of these appear to be shut on Tuesdays, but there were enough open to make a trip worthwhile). If you have accessibility issues make sure you request a downstairs room as there are no lifts. There is so much to do in the area; a long weekend is very quickly filled with museums, walks, shopping, cafes, an old abbey (two miles away) and slightly further (six miles), golf. "
