"Located between Portofino and Santa Margarita and on the hiking paths to reach both places without walking with the traffic on the road. Bus goes in either direction every 15 minutes if you don’t want to walk. Gem of a hotel. Small, clean, functional. Great breakfast. Accommodating friendly staff. Owner gave us a small bottle of limoncina when we checked out."

"I loved this little beach city to stay in while exploring the nearby towns. The hotel has a restaurant next door which is one of the best in town and even the locals eat there. Hotel is walking distance to the train station. You can hear the train go by which seemed a little bothersome initially though easy to get over. The interiors of the rooms are a little dated. Overall good experience."

"Staff is friendly and accommodating, even if they are not always present at the desk nor speak English. Air conditioning is an extra charge, but can open the windows to get some circulation. There's a nice deck with two chairs and a small table. No in-room safe. Shower is in the middle of the bathroom and only curtain, not a tub or stall, so entire bathroom can get wet if you're not careful. One block from the beach. Two blocks downhill from the train station."

"Genova Italy has so many grand buildings that have multiple use. The Olympic Hotel is in one of these buildings, with an old fashioned elevator, high ceilings, marble and ornate carvings. The Hotel is on the 4th floor and the management is very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and transportation. Good value in a beautiful Italian city."

"We with my wife stayed in this hotel for one night. The hotel was selected as a convenient place f tor a day travel to Cinque Terre by train. The owner (Susanne) were very kind to show me free parking area within 5 min walking from hotel and that was quite convenient to park a car for free. "

It is close to both train station and ferry port, both of which are only within five minutes walking distance on a flat road, which is a big plus in this region, because some hotels or train stations may be on hills.
