“Very comfortable”
We had to stay in the hotel because of the power outage from the October snow storm. When we were arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the room size and it was perfect since we had to stay for a few days. We had a full refrigerator, stove, microwave so we were able to cook meals.
“Not that Comfortable”
The Quality Inn was reasonably inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. The reception clerk was a nice young woman but she did not explain where my room was located and this motel has a complex system of room numbers, many of which are not served by elevators. After returning to the desk twice to get clear instructions I eventually found my room but I had to lug my bags up flights of stairs labeled -Exit. The so-called wi-fi internet did not connect but eventually the clerk brought a cable and I was able to get the internet access to work. The wake-up call did not call me and I was 30 minutes late to my conference. The parking was ample, but there was no way to find the right spot near my 300 level room which was actually on a second floor. The only bathroom in the lobby was the employee facility and it was filthy. Everything would have been acceptable if the staff had shown me any kindness or concern for my problems. They did not care and I will probably not give them a chance to be ignore me in the future. I learned my lesson. Read the Expedia reviews and trust your fellow travlers. Thanks for hearing me out.
“Decent value”
The room was large, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Excellent shower. But the property is set back off the main road and the driveway leading into the propery is a mess --- full of potholes, very bumpy --- and dark. Not inviting at all when arriving after dark and for a woman traveling alone, somewhat scary. I will probably try to find another place the next time I need a room in that area.
“Great value for money”
The hotel was very reasonably priced. The room was clean, but hotel and grounds were clean but shabby. The exercise room was not well maintained and most of the equipment appeared to be 10+ years old. We ate at the Flying Rhino, a fun bistro just 10 minutes away. Breakfast was adequate - scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, muffins and juice/ coffee.
“Beware!”
tried to check in at 3:40 (check in was at 3)--room wasn't ready. Had to wait 40 minutes for it to be done. There was NO light bulb in the bathroom (how did they clean the bathroom with no light?) Called for a light bulb, they brought us a floor lamp--with no bulb! Long story short, we had to buy our own bulb from Home Depot! Also, we paid for extra people and didn't get extra towels and there was no remote control for the tv. Completely unapologetic-- Choice Hotels customer service wasn't much better! Unacceptable from start to finish!!!
“A spooky place”
The hotel was practically empty and the wing we were on felt like it hadn't been used in months. The room had a strong chemical smell and seemed like it hadn't been aired for a long time. I couldn't open the window, but I kept the front door open for over an hour to air it out. That was ok because no one else was around. Somehow, this place almost felt abandoned and haunted. I would not stay here again--there was something unsettling about it.
“So impressed!”
The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable! They were flexible with check-in/check-out, room arrangements, and answered all of our questions. They are so friendly and thoughtful, and made our stay truly enjoyable.
“Not impressed”
There was no way we could control the temperature. People were nice. Okay for a one night visit.
“Satisfied with service”
Despite the fact that I had to travel a considerable distance in order to arrive at the hotel, upon arrival I found the hotel, room, and overall service very acceptable and would reccomend this hotel to anyone.
“Quality Inn was fine for the overnight...”
The room was fine, the hotel was adequate. The internet access was not wireless but the desk had network cables available at no charge. The only negative comment I have would be that if you promise a "No Smoking Room", then please make sure that it does not smell like an ashtray!
