We had a wonderful stay at Blue for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The concierge was very friendly he told us a little about the hotels history while he carried our bags up showed us around our room. He then arranged a complementary bottle of champagne for us to celebrate our anniversary the champagne came up with strawberries and was very nice.
Our room had a lovely out look of the Finger Wharf and the city skyline.
We went out for our evening and when we returned the room had been tidied (Glasses replaced and champagne in the fridge) and our bed had been turned down.
The hotel was very comfortable and close to the city and lovely Cafes in Potts Point.
Hostel is located very close to the city and train station. There is a supermarket about 5 minutes away or you can eat at their cafe. The reception gives out discount cafe vouchers. The hostel is in an old building but it is maintained and the cleanliness is good given the number of other guests staying. It is a big hostel but I stayed on the top floor which I think is quieter than two lower floors. The dorm (8 bed) was surprisingly tidy and roomy. The linen and doona was clean and I say housekeeping hoovering several times during the day. Given the price, location and other alternatives in Sydney - it was great value.
