A low cost hotel in a row of hotels near I-5

Posted 27-Nov-2014
Pros: Non-smoking facility The relatively low cost for room Free breakfast, nice variety of items The staff was friendly and helpful Free parking Pool
Cons: Perhaps better signage for name of hotel to aid in finding hotel at night
Location: Relatively near downtown Tacoma, Tacoma Dome, Museum of Glass, and Pt. Defiance Zoo.
I had a little difficulty finding the hotel after a 2 hour drive as it was dark and I am unfamiliar with Tacoma and had to stop at a gas station nearby to get directions, Once I checked in at the hotel, a night staff person printed some directions for getting to the Tacoma Dome as I was going to attend a concert there, After the concert I returned to the hotel, and had a good sleep on a very comfortable bed. I got to the breakfast area a little late, and had to eat in stages as there were no scrambled eggs or sausages. Met some nice people in the dining area and at the front desk, and one person at desk helped me by getting a broshure which had directions to the Pt. Defiance aquarium and zoo so off I went.

I would stay again.

Pros: 24 hour pool
Cons: Hot tub would have been nice.
Location: WSU puyallup was the principal reason for staying in the region.
The 24 hour pool was the plus that made me choose it. It was clean but a little cool. there was a mixup with my bill. I was charged for a pet I did not have, but the desk clerk was very professional and cleared it up with no problem. I would stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Laundry was clean. Breakfast great. Room was clean. Neighborhood on the south a little run down. Would probably stay there again, though.

No complaints here

The front desk clerk at check in was amazing as was the breakfast serving lady and the maintenance man who went above and beyond without hesitation and brought a ball into the pool for my kids that a previous guest had left behind. The rooms were clean, a standard hotel but it was the staff that will have me return again.

This Hotel Needs New Carpets

Posted 04-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
Wow, definitely needs renovations, especially the carpets. I felt like I should of brought my slippers with me, lol.. the furniture was from 'That 70's Show' and smells like grandma's house...we were afraid of getting bedbugs! but no bedbugs in the morning.. the people were really nice and helpful.. the breakfast had airplane eggs and greasy sausages..heart attack! cant complain, the breakfast was free.. go stay at the red lion hotel, looked way better from the outside

Extra charge for the in-room safety vault

Posted 27-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
The staff is in general very friendly, the room is clean and the breakfast is okay. I found out that they put extra charges on my credit card for the in-room safety vault (which I never used) without asking. Too bad I only found it out after leaving the Inn. I consider this policy to be unreasonable!
