“Great Stay in St. Petersburg, FL”

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The hotel had alot of character as it was a historical site. Hotel was updated and rooms were comfortable and clean.

This hotel is excellent it is very modern but has that older feel to it, very central to everything you can walk if you choose to or drive I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again for sure, the staff was all great and the shuttle service was excellent they would take you anywhere you wanted and you just had to call back to the hotel and they would come back to get you...Excellent also for the ball game, dropped off right out front door (gate four) and picked up after the game in the same location....Excellent experience

“Needs more mirrors!”

The hotel is nice, great location, but not female friendly! The only mirrors in the whole place are in the bathroom and with three women in the room, we had a very difficult time getting ready to go out without another mirror in the bedroom anywhere, even on the closet door. It might seem trivial, but it was a major hold up for us! Otherwise, the breakfast was good, the service was fine, the valet parkers were charming!

Great hotel!-Room was big and beautiful mixing modern updates with historical feel. The hotel shuttle will take you anywhere you need to go.You are walking distance to tons of nice restaurants.Neighborhood is safe and beautiful.If you want to travel the city,jump on the trolley for 25 cents a trip.It stops outside the hotel and will take you to the Pier,the Dali,Tropicana etc.FREE hotel shuttle available to and from the Rays games.We had car trouble while in St.Pete. and the hotel staff helped us find a mechanic(thanks Carlos) and took us to and from the garage. Room was made up by 10 a.m. Warm cookies and ice cold citrus water in the afternoon.Inodor pool and spa was nice,but a little heavy on the chlorine!

Our stay was great, no complaints. The historic hotel had a great lobby and eating area with lots of charactor while the rooms were very modern and comfortable. The bed was to die for! The staff was exceptionally helpful and was able to answer any question you had. They were especially good for directing you to great area eating establishments. We would stay their again.

“A good stay, with a few drawbacks”

Stayed for two nights. The check-in staff was very friendly and welcoming, as was the valet attendant. Our room was very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was large and modern--we were pleasantly surprised! The free wireless internet is a nice plus. The only problems we faced with the room was how LOUD the air conditioning unit was every time it clicked on. Also, the vent on the wall was aimed directly at the bed, so it was absolutely freezing every time the unit clicked on. On top of this, because this is a 1920's hotel renovated for Marriott, the walls between the rooms are VERY THIN, so sound from adjoining rooms really carries. We heard the television of guests in the room next to us until 2 AM the first evening of our stay, and their TV was back on again at 6 AM. Even my husband, who can sleep through anything, had difficulty falling asleep due to the noise. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Bed was very comfortable. We stayed for breakfast both days and enjoyed the custom made omelets and fresh fruit. The chef and waitstaff were very friendly. Many restaurants are nearby for other meals. The hotel parking is valet-only for $12 per day, which is a on the high side considering your car is parked in an open lot adjacent to the hotel (not a garage)...so it still sits vulnerable to rain, theft, etc. The cost really adds up if staying multiple nights. We had a good stay and would stay again, but would look for better deals first.
