“It's was OK...”
The rooms were standard, the hotel even though very clear is starting to look outdated. The Carpets in the rooms and especially in the dining room (where breakfast is served) need to be cleaned or even replaced... desperately... besides that, the service was good, the staff friendly, free parking, nice location... it was Ok...
“Clearwater Best Hotel”
Hotel is on the beach but not too close which is exactly what I was looking for, you can rent for a small fee a beach umbrella and chairs and have it set up for you. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, they have a 24hr shop which was very convenient for us. Parking was free. Hotel is away from the hustle but still conveniently located to restaurants, entertainment and shopping. We had a great time.
“OK”
Too far to the beach. Also would have been nice to have a view of the ocean from the restaurant instead of 4 walls
“Wonderful hotel on the beach”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was located on Sand Key, away from all of the congestion in Clearwater Beach. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all. The only drawback was there was a little bit of a walk to the water. The hotel was very well maintained and the staff were very friendly. The restaurants located within the hotel were very good. Loved the pool area and hot tub. Plenty of places to sit and relax. Overall, really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this hotel. The location was wonderful.
“Wish I could just move in and live there forever...”
Great hotel! Even the non-gulf views still have a great view of the gulf. My room was supposed to be a parking lot view, and I had a view of the gulf, and downtown Clearwater Beach, which had an amazing fireworks display, my last night there. It has it's own little convenience store, open 24 hours, which was great. So close to so many attractions. I rented a car, but did not need it. The "jolly trolley" was there to go anywhere I needed. Parking was free, but as I drove by other hotels, rates were $10/day or $2.75/hour. Rooms were equipped with hairdryer, iron, ironing board, flat screen TV. Good sized balconies too. Pool was nice. There were 4 restaurants. Loved it!
“Very relaxing trip”
We enjoyed celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort. The first night we were placed in room 501 which had the elevators directly behind the wall with the bed. It wasnt extemely loud; but enough to where you can hear it, especially while trying to go to sleep or first thing in the morning. The first morning we requested to be moved and were treated very well and moved to room 304. Same room type with similar gulf views...and extremely quiet. We enjoyed it so much that we exteneded our stay a 5th night. The beach was uncrowded and the gulf water very warm. The relaxing afternoons around the pool or on a lounge chair under a palm tree in the shade, with drink in hand was great. The food at the breakfast buffet or Billy Martin's Pub was outstanding as was the atmosphere at both. The staff was very friendly wherever you were in the hotel. This was our first time visiting the west coast of Florida, and we enjoyed it so much...we will be back!!
“Great Hotel just over the bridge from Clearwater”
Awesome hotel and staff, beach is further than we thought but very nice. Great to be next to the park for bird watching.
“Will go back”
Loved the hotel on Sandy Beach. Centrally located to restraunts and attractions (aquarium, park, marina...). Area is not touresty so there were no problems driving or walking around. Staff was great, polite and easy to talk to if you needed anything.
“All employees were nice and it was beautiful there!”
My stay couldn't have been better. Everyone was nice and helpfull in the hotel. We even got an upgrade on our room and free wifi because we were on our honeymoon. The room was great and the bar and restaurants had great food. I'll come back if i decide to take a vacation to florida again.
“over all very satisfied. We can't wait to take another trip!”
High class resort but affordable. Excellent restaurants inside resort. Also have the option to take a trolly to lots of restaurants/shopping near the area. the beach was clean and relaxing. Not crowded at all this time of year.
