This property was definitely dated. Our biggest problem was the AC that worked, but the thermostats on both were not working so it was either really cold or really warm. It was clean and the staff was all absolutely wonderful and helpful. If you don’t mind older accommodations it’s in a great central location and the restaurant on site was really good.

3rd stay. Nice place and convenient to St Pete area. I stay because it’s close to St Anthony’s Tri at Vinoy Park. There’s also a restaurant with bar right next door.

Hotel was unique, very clean, and the staff was great! Location is walkable to multiple restaurants and the waterfront. Room was perfect for my solo travel, however may not be ideal for a family with multiple children due to room size being on the smaller side.

Comfortable weekend stay for a venue in downtown. Room was clean and cool. Happy hour in the early afternoon at 5! And? Coffee in the morning. Perfect! Nice perk to go next door to the Hollander and utilize the pool area along with the options of a small cafe and a van that will assist you in getting to some areas.

My wife and I enjoyed the Avalon. It has great character , very relaxing, enjoyed the large sitting rooms outside and inside. Easy walk to the pier, and dining.

Arrived at Avalon and property manager was unable to retrieve Expedia reservation although it was on our phone. He was not pleased with Expedia but was so very polite and accommodating for us. Put us into a ground level suite. Next door partner hotel was great with bar, restaurant, and coffee bar/pastries in the morning. Easy walk to downtown and area restaurants and attractions. Great place to stay in a great location with very polite and accommodating staff. We'll be back!!!
