"It is rare the Experience of staying at a holiday location works out as well as expectation of a group built up by the online marketing page. I’m pleased to say that didn’t happen here, in fact the only potential issue in advance was the parking as we had 3 cars. Even this didn’t present an issue. Excellent facilities and base, one very minor issue was the need to drink Guinness from a wine glass due to the lack of a pint glass on site, as I say very minor issue."

Everything was as advertised and was even better in person. The barn was very clean with ample supplies and the garden was perfect to admire. Spring was definitely in bloom! "We spent 2 nights at the monastery barn and we had a great time. Communication with the property manager was fantastic. They were very generous hosts. We particularly enjoyed spending time in the conservatory and in the enclosed garden were we able to let our dog explore without any concerns!"

A couple of recommendations to the host - a few coat hooks behind the front door would be very welcome, and some more hangers in each of the wardrobes. "I was not able to receive the check-in instructions so the day of I was panicked about how I would gain access to the house and the communication with the host and property manager was strained. Once we arrived at the property it was lovely and as described. It a cute, lovely neighborhood location with a delicious pub right across the street!"

"Bedrooms lovely but tight around beds. but en-suites quite roomy. So easy for different groups to do different things in the huge barn dinning/kitchen/lounge. Our 4 and 6 aged grand sons loved the space and outdoors games. Trampoline, football, table tennis etc. Google the grinding barn for easy location guidance as 3 of our 4 cars struggled with the given directions."
