Shanklin Hotel Guide - Beach Hotels in Shanklin, Isle of Wight

What a wonderful stay. Our room and the hotel were huge, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel is literally a stone's throw from the beach with a fabulous sea view. Breakfast is delicious. The owners of the hotel made us feel more welcome than anywhere we have ever been, from dashing out with a big brolly to welcome us and bring our bags to our room through torrential rain, to showing us maps with recommendations of places to visit, and places to eat. Fantastic restaurants within walking distance in Shanklin, Fine Nammet and Pendletons. Osborne House is a must visit as is the Model Village at Godminster. The only shame for us is that we were only there for two nights. We will definitely be back again. A hotel :-)

our room was unclean with mouldbad enough to start to peel the paper off of the wall, table lamps not working and cable trunking falling off of the wall.when challenged I received an e-mail stating there was a leak shortly before we came, mould does not grow overnight
