The owner David came to greet us and showed us around his property which they renovated for 4 years prior to opening as a boutique hotel. The hotel has beautiful decor inside and a spectacular waterfront. We were asked in the evening what we wish for a breakfast on the next day and they made it exactly the way we requested. We wish we spend more days on the island and definitely would recommend this hotel for everyone who is visiting the island! We found Haven Hall to be ideal on a recent visit to the Isle of Wight. The grounds are immaculate with stunning vistas overlooking the water; which is a very short walk away. Our room was very well appointed and comfortable. The owners, David and Arielle truly enjoy engaging with guests, making it feel as though you were staying in their private home; which it is! The breakfast on the patio each morning was a perfect start to each day (too bad they don't offer dinner service as well...). We had a self-catering apartment with a small garden which was extremely well-equipped and was very comfortable and private. This wonderful guest house style hotel is beautifully located where you can enjoy one of the best views of the sea. A well-groomed landscape garden with an abundance of flowers pleases the eye - a wonderful example of traditional English style. At the end of the alley, running through the entire garden is an elegant arbour where you can take amazing photos! The hotel has a swimming pool and tennis court. Near the hotel, there is the beautiful Shanklin beach and a walking area with several restaurants serving delightful seafood. Haven Hall's interior is distinguished by a special old-fashioned charm and elegance. All guest rooms have their own unique decor, all the details of which have been matched with taste and care. The rooms have everything you need: fridge, coffee maker, kettle, iron. The owners are a charming couple who are very attentive and hospitable. They take care to provide guests with maximum comfort, try to take into account all wishes and provided us with interesting and useful information about the island. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room overlooking the sea. Be sure to try the pancakes prepared by the hostess of Haven Hall!
