"I was attending a 2 day conference at Excel and travelling alone, so felt safe if I had to return alone in the evening. Staff were super helpful. I had a "take away" my first evening and in the mornings they were happy to freshly poach eggs for me. On the second evening I went to a nearby Chinese restaurant with colleagues. Unfortunately the Excel building was locked and I had to walk around the outside to get to the hotel. I had walked almost the full length of the path when I came to a fence due to building work and I had to go all the way back and around the other side."
