I give it an OK overall rating as it's cheap and does what it is supposed to do. However don't book this as a treat or anniversary or anything romantic!
They will try to charge for everything other than the City tax which was disclosed in the expedia booking.
1. Parking - which is a catch 22 - it's so remote in an industrial area - you'd only stay if you had a car
2. Internet - they will try to charge even if it says it is free with your booking. Better off using your O2/Vodaphone travel data!
3. Breakfast - they say it is 6 euros if you pay in advance and double if you don't.
4. Towels are not changed daily - they play the serviced apartment card on this and say they change only every 3 days. The sign explaining this is subtly hidden on the hair dryer
5. There is a 9 euro clean up fee if you don't clean the kitchenette properly (but they do not provide cleaning stuff). naturally the kitchen stuff was not the cleanest
6. it's 3 euros per hour for late check out.
Nonetheless, it is still super cheap and clean enough for what it is. Just remember to decline all extras and take shorter showers (the hotwater is via individual water tanks)
The hotel was easy to find and close to the city centre and the Cathedral. The staff were mostly friendly. one or two seemed to be a bit 'job's worth', but always efficient and accurate with information etc. Room facilities good, comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities.
Having booked 2 rooms through Expedia, when we arrived the hotel only had 1 room booked. Clearly a mistake made by Expedia but the hotel staff were very helpful and soon found a spare room for us.
Our dog was made very welcome and the hotel even had a small garden.
Nice quiet location which was very easy to find. Good car parking plenty of Space. Excellent and very warm welcome and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, mostly able to speak to us in English. Good comfortable room, spacious and clean. Good condition generally although some of the fittings seemed a bit tired. Breakfast excellent though not cheap but the dinner offering was disappointing and not very high quality. Overall a nice stay but not perfect.
Needed a good location for a stopover with safe parking and near to the Cathedral.
This hotel was perfect in all respects. But, just don't go to Reims on a Monday evening since many of the restaurants in the vicinity are closed on a Monday evening! Not the hotels fault.
Staff were friendly.
Lovely hotel with amazing food. Not the best location in the the town, but as you really only stay for the 3* experience that doesn't matter. We stayed two nights however, I think one would have been perfect. The food was delicious but really rich and, unlike similar establishments in Britain, the portions are big so I found I was full after my main course and struggled to finish everything - goodness knows how the French manage to fit cheese in too. The staff and service were exemplary, the rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable with extra touches like complimentary petite fours and free mini bar. Well worth a visit.
Just a stone s throw from the centre of Reims set within a peaceful five acre park this elegant 19th century half timbered …More
Reims is the main city of the renowned Champagne area and is a central spot for those wanting to learn more about fine wine. There's more to Reims than tasty bubbles however, as the gothic architecture, lively street bars, and hidden culinary treasures will demonstrate. The magnificent 13th century cathedral, Notre-Dame de Reims, overlooks this charming city.
