We're currently staying at this hotel, and it's my second time (5th trip to Mumbai in total). It's new, it's incredibly clean, it's on great grounds. We have had absolutely no problems with airport transfers or getting around (mainly to Hiranandani Gardens shopping area, with KFC and two supermarkets) via auto rickshaw for a mere 30 rupees per trip. Breakfast is great, bar staff are fantastic. Considering how expensive accommodation in Mumbai is, this place is a STEAL. If you need to visit south Mumbai (around Colaba), I'd stay in that vicinity as staying anywhere else can result in you being stuck in traffic for 2 hours just to get there.
"cleanest, most friendly and genuine, most helpful"
i couldnt have been more pleased with my stay here. all employees werent just nice so that they would get a tip, they are very genuine and sincere. this is the hotel that i recommend for all my family, close friends, everyone that i meet. their pool is very nice and has a lot of space to lay out and tan, the weight room is small but has nice equipment to get a full good workout in, the rooms themseleves are very very nice and clean! nice decor, furnishings, bathroom and shower are very very nice as well. cannot beat the quality for the price anywhere in mumbai. i was taken to a few other hotels by the taxi driver once i missed my flight, and comparitively they were dumps compared to The Residence Hotel, and the other hotels cost the same and more for much much less quality. I will not stay at any other hotel in Mumbai thus far. I will always stay at this Hotel when in Mumbai. While I was in the pool I spoke with a young women from Denmark that has been traveling all over India for a month. This hotel was her 5th hotel in Mumbai. She told me she stayed at more costly 5 star hotels and The Residence Hotel was by far her favorite. They also have an optional breakfast buffet in the morning fosr an extra $7USD. It is a very wide selection of food, fruit, and a chef making eggs, omlets of your choice at your request. Awesome Hotel, I greatly look forward to going back.

This is a relatively small but a clean, well kept hotel with a friendly staff. I moved to this hotel after had an unpleasant experience with a different hotel.
From the first moment front desk was very friendly, we booked 2 rooms; standard and a junior suite and they were both clean and well kept. In the morning lower level rooms get slightly noisy but otherwise no major issues.
Wifi is working well in all parts of the hotel, breakfast is open buffet with limited options but has continental and Indian cuisine options which is helpful if you have problems with traditional spicy Indian food. Around the hotel there are small shops and restaurants as well as a grocery store is accessible.

Being from out of country, location, cleanliness for the right price is important. Although it is a bit tricky to spot the hotel, location is good. Another tricky aspect is the entrance, wish the management give a better description of accessing the hotel and definitely how to enter. There is no sign anywhere saying the hotel location. 5 minutes to walking towards powai lake.
Room is adequate, although everything is not what it looks like in the photos. Hot water...not available if you wake up by 5am. Staff is excellent, despite having to call a couple of times for the missing towels in the room. Breakfast is very good. Did appreciate the staff holding my bags in storage for my late evening departure.
Will be helpful to provide some cups or glasses in the room.
Will definitely go back.
"worst location for hotel, trash and dumping ground"
location is not mentioned correct in GPS, city is not correct as well. be very careful. it took a very experienced taxi driver forever to find this hotel due to a wrong address, and its location and on top of that, it is not owrht living there for free, as way too many flies and insects and bugs for hotel being situated around trash and dumping grounds.
if you don't care for any of that, by all means go ahead, but there are so many hotels in main mumbai center lot cheaper and cleaner, make sure do your homework before you jump on a deal.
this is not worth living for free. i paid in full, and walked out as i saw the hotel, and paid again to someone else to stay there.
