Like living in the Bates Motel

Posted 12-Jul-2014
Pros: That we got out
Cons: Everything
Location: Nothing
On our arrival they shifted us over to The Econolodge telling us it was a much nicer room. The room smelled, had a broken toilet, holes in the wall, no coffee maker, refridgerator, microwave, tissues. Outdated TV set and lumpy pillows, meager breakfast.

Nice hotel for the price

Although there was nothing fancy about this hotel, all of our needs were met. The rooms were clean, water was hot and the heat kept us in tropical conditions. All in all, it was a good stay.

Hidden hotel

Posted 05-Oct-2013
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: Everything could be improved
It was terrible. We couldn't unlock our room without excessive force. The lamps were missing shades, the bed was slanted downwards, the phone cords were ripped out of the walls, the room smelled like a bug bomb, the shower wouldn't drain so you were standing in your own filth, no fridge, woken up early by chainsaws tearing down trees outside. Oh, and it's hidden behind the econolodge.....probably so no one will ever know it's there.

Needs major updating

Posted 26-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
This is a typical hole in the wall place to stay for one night to just rest your head. However, I had lamps that didn't work or were broken, shower head positioned in weird angle causing your to bend over half way to wash your hair. Bed was hard and not very comfortable. Location is off a main highway but if you want to head in the opposite direction, you must go down to a designated u-turn spot and get back on the highway. I found that this is common with most of New Jersey though. In all there is a diner that is in the front of the motel that has decent food and service. Made it convenient since I got in late.

VERY POOR!!!!!!!

Posted 16-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
The first room we got smelled like body odor. We asked to have another room and it was just as bad. Both bathrooms had mold in them and the linens were dirty. We left and found a better hotel a few mile away.

A convenient stop

Posted 10-Jul-2013 on Hotels.com
We needed a place to stay on our way to Jersey Shore and this was a convenient budget stop. We didn't arrive until 2 a.m. and someone was there to check us in. nice to have AC in the humid heatwave. Enjoyed a waffle for breakfast.
