Good location

Posted 26-Sep-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer service , room layout and facilites. Not a Hotel for families
Location: It is right next to Chatelet des Halles station , walking distance to Notre Dam and Louvre
Hotel was 30 metres next to underground , great for moving around, walking distance to Notre Dam and Louvre. Shops all around. Room in this hotel was very very small, lucky suitcases fittted under the bed . No cooling in room , had a balcony door ( no balcony) which opened but very noisy from cafes below. Our bathroom size was ok but others were not. Stairs up to first floor then a tiny elevator after that. Wifi was sporadic and had to keep logging back in. When this was mentioned to the front desk I was told ""what did I expect it was for free!!" and "it must be me as no one else had complained!!" . If I came back to Paris I would not stay here

Paid for an upgraded room - didnt get one!

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: Would suit anyone wanting to pay for an upgraded room and be given a Standard (poor Standard) room and those wanting unfriendly argumentative greeting
Cons: Giving customers who pay for an upgraded room (Comfort room) - an upgraded room. Plus some customer service training for receptionist.
Paid for two comfort rooms - both rooms were not as the comfort pictures online, but were the same as standard room pictures - or in fact worse. Unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist (one in particular - telling us about room prices and that their was nothing better value in Paris). Not a pleasant experience - will never stay their again.

Agora - disappointing

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Very good proximity to the metro.
Hotel is disappointing with staff that do not speak any English, with walls that are paper thin so you can easily hear what is taking place in the adjoining room, and very very tired. It is rated on some internet sites as three star - it is barely one star in terms of standard.

Disappointing accommodation

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Pros: The later assistance I got from a young staff member.
Cons: Courtesy and some honesty in the travel information entered into Expedia.
The room was not what I had booked through Expedia and I had to argue with staff to be assigned a room as per booking. Staff insisted that the room booked (ie. Queen bed) didnot exist in their hotel. Very unpleasant. Breakfast was alos too expensive for what was provided. There was alos no indication in information provided that the hotel lift doesn't engage until the first floor so access is very awkward - up a very narrow, steep spiral staircase. Almost impossible with any luggage. Bars downstairs were also an unknown and were incredibly rowdy until late into the night.

good location, near metro, Notre dame, Seine

Posted 22-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
small room for the price, but this is central Paris! reasonable size bathroom, but the corner shower was small, despite room to put in larger. we had room 23 on second floor at the front. had a very welcome narrow balcony to sit out after a long day site seeing. As far as we could tell, all the front 2nd floor rooms had similar balcony. Breakfast is an extra 10.5 Euro. should really be included in the price of room.

For Paris, a great deal and an unbeatable location

Posted 05-Jun-2014
Pros: It has a funky character, good location, adequate in terms of everything you need.
Location: Near the Louvre, the Seine, bateaux-mouches
The rooms (not to mention the elevator/lift) seem small by North American standards, but this is a great value for Paris. The location is great -- arrondissement un -- and the view looking out of the windows is quintessentially Parisien. Despite the noise from the street and the age of the building, the windows are surprisingly well soundproofed, and we slept better here than we expected. The graffiti visible on the building across from our window (apr├Ęs la pluie, le beau temps) seems to sum it up: you need perspective to appreciate things!

Great Location, helpful staff

Pleasantly surprised by the Agora - great location, easy access to the main attractions and only 5 mins walk from the Metro. The room was quite small, but very quiet with the windows closed. Recommended, would stay there again.

Nice hotel in great location

Posted 29-Nov-2013
This hotel is exactly what you pay for. It's a GREAT location. The hotel is small and very typical European, but it's fine. We had no problems. I was a little anxious about leaving my luggage as the luggage "storage" is just in the lobby, but again, no problems. And you can't beat this location.
