Was going to Orange to visit the Madison Home at Montpelier. The Inn was incredibly nice, clean, spacious, and with very high end furnishings. I was shocked at how nice it was. Only complaint was the incredibly thin walls, and some very noisy people on my floor. Minor thing though. Highly recommend.

Booked this hotel last minute to stay near skydiving facility. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast - but the view was incredible. I would stay here again for sure!
We celebrated our anniversary at this hotel and we were pampered from start to end. The hostess, hotel and city provided a very welcoming feeling. We had a positive experience and will definitely come back.

"The Mayhurst Inn - Beautiful, romantic, memorable"
The Mayhurst Inn is a beautiful, romantic place set among expanses of green grass with a plethora of beautiful trees making a canopy of shade for warm summer days. The home is gorgeous and is on the National Register of Historic Places - circa 1859.
We stayed in the Italian Suite and it was lovely. The four poster bed was very comfortable and beautiful. We had a sofa, jet tub and fireplace in an adjoining room to our bedroom with a breathtaking view of the back yard. We opened the balcony door for a soft summer breeze.
Jack and his wife are lovely and were gracious hosts with a nice happy hour with wine and cheese, helped us get reservations at a popular local french restaurant and made us a lovely Sunday brunch with delicious berries and pancakes. It was a weekend to remember in many ways. We highly recommend this weekend get away experience!
We spent our anniversary weekend with Kathleen and Troy at their wonderful B&B - Chestnut Hill. They are exceptional hosts - making sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. The evening happy hours and yummy breakfasts were great. We recommend this lovely inn for that special celebration or just a get away weekend to enjoy the Charlottesville, VA area - history, wineries and more.
Home to just 4,000 residents, the town of Orange boasts numerous examples of historic architecture and several historic sites. Before the American Civil War, Orange played an important role in county government and therefore a number of antebellum buildings can still be seen. Orange’s commercial historic district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
