"We just returned from a lovely Memorial Day weekend at this cozy, clean, lakefront rental. It was a relaxing experience even though the weather was gloomy most days. The one day the weather cleared up, our kids were able to make use of the dock and kayaks to have fun on the lake. The house was perfect for our family. We have stayed many times at other Lake Anna rentals but this one was very thoughtfully equipped for every convenience - from the automatic night lights in every room and stairwell to the chef grade knives and pots and pans, to the multiple charging ports in the living room. Small details but thoughtful details that a seasoned traveler appreciates. The kids were also kept busy with the ping pong table and foos ball table inside, to the pickle ball court outside. This is the perfect rental that accommodates two families comfortably and being right on the lake with all the amenities. The host, Kiran was also easy to communicate with and reach if we needed anything. It was a great weekend and we would rent here again!"

"If we could have left no stars and simply wrote a review, we would have. Despite the staff being decent, we can’t find anything else nice to say about our stay here. It should have been a two night stay, and we would have gladly stayed “no nights”, but there were H.S. graduations happening in the area and all hotels were booked our first, and only, night there. We were booked into a bottom floor room and when we opened the door, we turned around and walked back to the office and asked for a different room. Room #2 really wasn’t any better, but at least the comforter in this room didn’t have a dinner plate sized stain on it. The floors in both rooms were filthy and covered in stains. The bedding was old and as worn out as the mattress was. It sagged in the middle to the point where it pulled you in like a black hole. Simply terrifying. The rooms looked circa 1980 and probably haven’t seen a proper cleaning since then. The complimentary coffee machine looked like it would pour sludge instead of coffee. The parking lot was also full of potholes. Dead giveaway, folks! Before I wrap this up, I cannot forget to mention the disgusting bathroom. It looked straight out of an episode of CSI. The walls were streaked with some sort of brown residue and there was a used towel with brown streaks on it left by a former guest on the back of the bathroom door. I believe I’ve said enough. I’ll just leave this right here for you fellow travelers. Travel safe!"

"The place is beautiful and the staff is really nice. Many of the activities were not available when I was there, yet I was still charged for the activity fee. I was in the area on family business, so that did not affect me personally, but had I been there for recreation, I would have been very disappointed. There is also no housekeeping service in your room. When I complained that the coffee maker did not work, I was told it would be replaced, but that never happened."

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. The room had visible mold, wet carpeting/water damage, and unsafe bathroom conditions immediately upon check-in. During our stay in the room, the shower curtain fixture failed causing a slip and fall. The conditions of the room made it uninhabitable. The issues were immediately reported to the front desk and another room was requested, but were told no other rooms were available. Because of the condition of the room, there was no choice but to leave the property and find accommodations elsewhere. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of accountability afterward. Despite immediately reporting the issues and providing documentation/photos, the hotel declined to issue a refund for the unusable room. I cannot recommend this property to anyone until these issues are properly addressed."
