There are logs and cut down trees littering yard. The grounds are not maintained. Lights in disrepair. Fences broken. Garbage strewn about. The “cottage” we stayed in was a converted shack. Bed was hard, cheap, and uncomfortable. Lighting was inconsistent in same room. Plastic covering on skylight. Dirty ceiling fan. Cheap shower curtain and hangers. Kit Kats next to bed. “Breakfast” was some food lion muffins, still in container, some granola bars, laughing cow cheese, and some slices of meat in wrapper all left in fridge. This place is absolutely fraudulent. It’s not a manor. It’s not a hospitality center. Heck, it ain’t even a place that’s set up for overnight stays. Our room was spacious and certainly quiet. Our hosts were quite friendly and provided good background information on Orange and surroundings. I was quite disappointed in the two breakfasts we had. The first morning there were fresh hot croissants -- but no egg or other hot main dish. Maybe switch the coffee cups to mugs in the winter. Coffee gets cold in glass mugs!
