"Owner is very attentive. I arrived early and was welcome and showed to my room. It is very conveniently located to Stirling castle,downtown, shopping and dining. They have an excellent restaurant, unfortunately was closed during my stay. I was traveling by myself and I feel very safe during my stay. Breakfast had an excellent variety. I ordered the Scottish breakfast,was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this cute B&B. "

"Fraoch House is a sweet place. It's older and has charm. Matthew the host was solicitous and eager to please. We had breakfast one morning and it was excellent. Our room was adequate. Lack of a plug convenient to one side of the.bed and.odd chairs that tipped over when we sat in them were drawbacks. The location was a disappointment. "Our family of 3 stayed at the Sherwood Inn for 2 nights. It was perfect! Breakfast was delicious. It was our 3 year olds favorite meal of the day both days in Edinburgh. The room was very comfortable for the 3 of us with very high ceilings and a nice en suite. I hope we find ourselves with more time in Edinburgh again sometime and we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you, Vivienne! "

"The staff are very friendly. The rooms are airy and large. The shower is a bit of a mission to get into. The paint on the cupboard and side table is chipped and needs to be touched up. Windows open to allow fresh air as the room gets stuffy when the heaters are on. Breakfast is served quickly and the breakfast room is nicely laid out. Location is great to walk around Edinburgh."

"Beautiful building with clean and comfortable rooms. It was amazing value for money considering the continental breakfast was included. Lots of great options and delivered to your room at your time of choice. Host was friendly when I met him briefly in the morning. Being able to access my room key in the lock box outside was great as I arrived a lot later than planned. Highly recommend. 😄"

"Everything great, but if you are a single, make sure you are not put in the rear room (3) on the ground floor. The refrigeration unit may keep you awake."

"Beautifully decorated rooms, you walk into a cafe when you enter then the stairs lead you into your room. There are no elevators. The room and attached bathroom was spacious for my family of 4 with 2 kids. "
